Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has inaugurated a direct service between Yerevan and Eindhoven, with the first flight having operated on 26 October 2026. The route will run three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as part of the airline’s wider expansion from Armenia.

The airline announced the route in March 2026 and confirmed operations began in late October. Wizz Air also disclosed that it deployed a third aircraft at Zvartnots International Airport in October 2026 to support its Armenian programme, and that it plans to open a Yerevan–Charleroi service from 1 February 2027.

Network expansion from Armenia

According to the airline’s published plans, Wizz Air intends its route network from Armenia to encompass 18 destinations in 10 countries. The Eindhoven launch is presented as part of a step change in the carrier’s presence at Zvartnots, reflecting a deeper commitment to international connections from Yerevan.

  • Launch date: 26 October 2026
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (three weekly)
  • Operational reinforcement: third aircraft stationed at Zvartnots in October 2026

The new Eindhoven link extends Wizz Air’s footprint in Western Europe from Armenia and precedes the scheduled start of services to Charleroi next February. The carrier’s incremental stationing of aircraft at Zvartnots is a common network-growth tactic that enables additional frequencies and new city pairs from a developing base.

Wizz Air’s expansion from Armenia follows the broader low-cost carrier strategy of establishing point-to-point links that connect secondary and tertiary European airports with growing origin markets in the Caucasus region.
